The 17th century on Pinterest

Pinterest is a goldmine for the amateur researcher since it makes it really easy to browse topics you're interested in visually. It also allows you to store links to pictures you come across in a way that's easily accessible as well as easy to organize after your own, possibly demented, logic.

So far, I keep one for each 20 year period of the 17th century, focused on the clothes and fashions, and one for 17th century stuff I haven't managed or bothered to find the exact year for:

Portrait of Suzanna Doublet-Huygens by Caspar Netscher
1600-20
1620-40
1640-60
1660-80
1680-1700

17th century in general

I also have one for people in the reign of Charles I, which is a bit of a lie, because occasionally I have people who strictly died before Charles inherited the crown, but it's all people who, directly or indirectly, had a major influence on the years he ruled. I would very much like to make one for the Thirty Years War, but so far I haven't had the time.

I also have a board dedicated to the British Civil Wars, with random things relating to that topic, and I have just started one (that's still pretty empty) about London in the 17th century. There's quite a lot of 17th century stuff on my board Everyday stuff of the past (with museum pieces) and also on Historical weapons.

If you have any suggestions for other boards dealing with the 17th century, please let me know. After all, you can never have too much Baroque, right?
